Finally, another fashion post. Yay! This time, we have a look at the staple Leather Skirt. I’ve beeeeen wanting one for the longest time but small girl problems have always gotten in the way and they’ve never fit my waist. UNTIL NOW!
The black leather skirt has stayed on trend for a while now and can be worn all year round. I love an item that I can wear in both summer and winter. I can change it up with a great pair of heels to wear to an evening function or dinner date, or with my sneakers and a casual tee for a walk in the park (not that I go for walks in the park).
Quick story about this skirt: I saw it at MRP Online when I was too broke to buy it and when pay day arrived, it was sold out in my size. I looked in stores all over PE and couldn’t find it, I even searched for it at the store in George when I was there for work but didn’t find it there either. Eventually, I gave up. Until one day I found something I thought I’d replace it with, which my mom was kind enough to go to and buy for me in-store. Unfortunately, she came back with the wrong item because the 2 looked really similar! When I went back to return the item, I found the skirt I’d wanted all a long. A whole month later, but YAY!
So, because it’s winter, I obviously paired the skirt with a jersey, not only because I’m a chronic jersey girl but also because who doesn’t love an over-sized jersey? This jersey is actually so over-sized on my body that if not tucked in, it would cover the skirt completely. Glitter and Metallic boots have been in since last winter, they stayed for summer vibes and they are still here this winter. Clearly a trend we are loving. I got these from Daily Friday on Superbalist and had a discount voucher. Yasss!
I’ve also paired this look with a fanny pack. Did you ever think this trend would make a comeback? I bought this from Cotton On Online. I love that it looks tiny but can actually hold everything I really need. It also has this quilted vibe going on, which is cool. I’m excited to pair it with some more outfits for the rest of winter and summer.
Are you loving or hating the leather skirt? Can you even hate such a versatile item? I think not.
