As you’d know from seeing my previous post, Hughan and I recently spent a weekend at The Windermere by Mantis. Possibly THE HIGHLIGHT of our stay, was the gourmet picnic we had on the Saturday morning. We were really excited because we both really love food and lazing around outside. The weather played along and the picnic was beautifully laid out in the courtyard of the hotel. We invited some close friends to spend the morning with us for some good food and good vibes.

My favourite was the biltong paté, it tastes so great smothered onto anything they have on the picnic blanket. I’ve yet to find out that secret recipe!

It will be no surprise to you to know I absolutely loved the dessert. We chose the Bar One mousse cake and were not disappointed, the presentation and taste was fantastic.
