There are times in life when the universe surprises us with rewards for doing things we never thought we would get rewarded for. This happened to me recently, which made me feel really good about myself and what I’ve been doing, despite the sacrifices I’ve had to make. I was rewarded with a R500 mall voucher, so naturally I bought clothing and shoes. I told myself “Do it for the blog, Kelly, do it for the feed.” So I’ve decided to share my purchases with you!
Overall, I purchased 4 items, which I think is pretty great for the amount I spent. Well Done to Mr Price and Cotton On for making the cut. Also, thanks Cotton On for that R100 perks voucher – You Da Best!(DJ Khalid voice)
So at Mr Price, I got this really cute black off-the-shoulder top with bell sleeves. I felt like I needed a black off the shoulder top because I didn’t have one and black is so versatile. Plus this one was only R99.99. I also purchased this olive dungaree dress for R189.99. I found it so ironic that I found this dress because just days before seeing it in this colour I found 1 on sale in my size in a tan colour at Foschini but was super indecisive and left it on the rail. So I took this as a sign and purchased it.
These 2 items are so versatile because I can wear them in summer or in winter with a turtleneck, stockings and boots. I paired this look with my vans for a more comfortable outfit. The looks can easily be dressed up for a smart casual look by adding a pair of heels. You can also mix up your accessories by adding a fedora or a beret (cute for winter). I decided to put my hair up with the head scarf, to open up and lengthen my neck and also to put emphasis on my hoops I wasn’t always too fond of but they’ve really grown on me now.
So, these 2 items cost me R289.98, which meant I still had R210 left on my voucher and a cotton on R100-off perks voucher. Stay tuned for my next post to see what I bought next and how much it cost me.
