Year of Celebration

Hi everyone

2017 has been a rather big year for my family. We’ve already had a number of celebrations and achievements this year and there are still more to come in the next 3 months.
I won’t bore you with all the details of each celebration but I do want to mention my parents celebrated their 25 anniversary and my grandparents have just celebrated their 50th anniversary! That’s what I call couple goals!

We are a family who don’t simply let events such as this pass and we’re also a family who love surprises. So for my grandparents 50th anniversary in September, we surprised them with a family lunch at a Isango Gate Hotel and an afternoon “teetjie” with a couple of family friends.

Of course, going for lunch at a fancy hotel was an opportunity for me to dress up. We were blessed with great weather that day, so I opted for an off-the-shoulder, bell sleeve top and the cutest bell bottom pants. I paired it with maroon pointed heels (Love these shoes!). I waited 4 months for them to arrive, which had me quite frustrated as they came over a month after its expected arrival date! However, I’m happy that they’ve finally arrived and I’m so grateful that they fit my little feet perfectly.

For those of you who have little feet like me and struggle to find heels that fit, without having to add an insole or a heel grip etc. I got them from Wish and they have size 2 available. So, Yassss, if you’re prepared to wait at least 2 months, place your order today!

I’m a huge fan of the off-the-shoulder trend, I find that it lengthens my neck quite nicely and forces you to correct your posture.

I didn’t have a special shoot for this occasion, so here’s just a few shots of my day. Most pictures taken by Hughan Milborrow.
